Fighting Illini x Watermelon x SKBG

A friend came to me and requested that I customize a pair of shoes for them and asked for me to incorporate The Fighting Illini of the University of Illinois, and a watermelon color scheme.  Nothing is more recognizable to the University of Illinois as the Chief icon.  Starting there and injecting a lime green and hot pink colorway, the design took off and evolved into what you see below.
